What you need

• Standard deck

Setup

1. Deal entire deck — 13 cards each.
2. First hand: pass 3 cards left. Next: right. Then across. Then no pass. Repeat.

How to play

1. Player with the 2 of clubs leads. Must lead 2 of clubs first trick.
2. Follow suit if you can. Otherwise play any card.
3. Highest card of suit led wins the trick.
4. Each heart = 1 point. Queen of Spades = 13 points.
5. Lowest score after someone hits 100 wins.
6. Shoot the moon: take ALL hearts + Queen = 0 points for you, 26 for everyone else.

Host tips

• Pass your high spades cautiously — you might inherit the Queen.
