Crazy Eights

What you need

• Standard 52-card deck (add a 2nd deck for 6+ players)

Setup

1. Deal 7 cards to each player.
2. Flip top card of the draw pile to start the discard.

How to play

1. Match the top card by suit or rank.
2. Eights are wild — play one and name the next suit.
3. Optional action cards (house rules): 2 = next player draws 2, J = skip, Q = reverse, A = wild.
4. Call 'last card!' when you have 1 card left or draw 2 as penalty.
5. First to empty hand wins. Score = sum of opponents' cards. First to 500 wins the game.

Host tips

• Decide upfront: stack penalty cards or not? House rules end fights.
• No 'jump-in' rule unless agreed at the start.
